EtherBTC (ETHB) - A Stack of Trash Worth Noting
A Solid Example of What Not To Do
EtherBTC, the combination of Ethereum and Bitcoin, cleverly (sarcasm) brought together into a single coin to get everyone LAMBOS! This ridiculous website, concept, model, brand, and approach is just filled with all sorts of bad ideas gone worse and executed poorly. I haven't seen something this under-done and horribly planned since CoinDash.
Here's a list of red flags:
Don't mention ICO without a Whitepaper
The word from the "team" at EtherBTC was that they'll release a whitepaper when they make some money in their ICO. I shit you not, my partner asked - and that was the answer. He also added, "It's a currency it doesn't need a white paper". So, we're doubtful there will even be a whitepaper, to be honest. But who needs it, right?
The post has since been removed from the CCC Facebook Group where it was posted, but if you're thinking of creating your own Blockchain anything, figure your shit out first - and organize it into a whitepaper. This may be a mad dash of FOMO, but the competition is actually fierce, and unless you're looking to scam people - have a whitepaper. If you can sell your half-baked idea to a bunch of idiots and steal their money as an investment into your crap, I guess more power to you but expect to get railed in Steemit posts.
There is no "I" in Team
The "team" at EtherBTC is one dude. Just one. Whether Joe gets a stack of developers to help him out or not between now and "whenever" is up in the air, who knows. This guy probably believes his crap enough to sell sweat equity to some poor college grad who's degree is collecting dust as they churn out espressos since the job market is shit right now for people in their 20's.
I still find it horribly wrong that he has the balls to use 'us' in the Contact Us footer link of the site, but that's just knit-picking, there are plenty of other things that are glaringly piss poor about this "project".

Also, the road map is a complete joke. At this point, I don't know if this is a troll site or not. I mean, when I created LamboCoin (http://lmbo.io) as a joke, I at least tried to be funny about it. This is just embarrassing:

- September, 2017 and beyond — Promote the listing of ETHB on CoinMarketCap.com and exchanges. Send press releases as each new exchange begins trading ETHB.

- 2020 — 2,000,000 ETHB released

If you see anything about EtherBTC (ETHB) ... just ignore it. If you want to create your own Blockchain company, do exactly the opposite of everything you see on EtherBTC's website. Guaranteed success.
