Blockchange - How I see it

You know what it is with the whole cryptocurrency currently? It has the wrong focus, it is struggling to get rid of the dark web, financial system crushing image it has been building so carefully.

Sure Bitcoin paved the way for the current blockchain projects, but as it is perceived as a currency, which it is not anymore, it is seen as a threat to the stabilization of our society. This creates friction and FUD, it destabilizes a market that has loads of potential.

The real value of bitcoin is not the currency part. With such volatility and slow blockchain, anybody would, after some research, conclude Bitcoin is not a threat to our financial system at all. The power lies within the blockchain technology. Decentralize something of value that is currently managed centrally, this is it.

With blockchain almost all current business models can be improved. Businesses invent models where tokens (or coins as you will) play a crucial role, building value on a promise. Some backed by great products and services, some hyped by shilling and fomo.

It is our job as geeks in this immature market to focus on the projects that matter, the projects where blockchain can add value to our world. Don't be fooled by the hype, don't (only) chase the money, don't be fomo'ed. Chase the value, chase the change!
