Is this something you should trust?

I was out with the family the other day (heading to see some frogs at an exhibit) and before we got to the place we grabbed some coffee.

When we were in the parking lot I saw this. Now I'm a believer in cryptocurrency but this scares me. I'm wondering how long one needs to stay around to verify the transfer......

How long does it take for this system to become a scam.
