Tapei, the capital city of Taiwan, is dedicated to becoming a full-fledged smart city with blockchain technology.
With the introduction of the new, IOTA Tangle based, ID card, they will probably come one step closer to this goal.
The project is a partnership between the city's Information Technology Department and the startup BiiLabs.
The goal is a higher level of security and thus better protection against identity theft.

Currently, IOTA technology is also being tested for managing air quality. In the airbox project, small sensors are being developed to measure the environmental pollution and to send the data to the Tangle.

IOTA is a new and groundbreaking distributed ledger that uses no blockchain.

IOTA's innovative, quantum-proof protocol, also known as Tangle, enables unique features such as no transaction costs, fast transactions, infinite scalability, secure data transfers, and more.

IOTA initially focuses on serving as the backbone of the Internet of Things (IoT).

Ziel ist ein höheres Sicherheitsniveau und somit ein besserer Schutz vor Identitätsdiebstahl.

Derzeit wird die IOTA Technologie auch für das Managen der Luftqualität getestet. Im Airbox-Projekt werden kleine Sensoren entwickelt die die Umweltverschmutzung messen sollen und die Daten an den Tangle gesendet.

IOTA ist eine neues und bahnbrechendes verteiltes ledger, welches keine Blockchain verwendet.

IOTA’s innovatives, quantenfestes Protokoll, auch bekannt als Tangle, ermöglicht einzigartige Features, wie z.B keine Transaktionskosten, schnelle Transaktionen, unendliche Skalierbarkeit, sichere Datentransfers und viele weitere.

IOTA konzentriert sich zunächst darauf als Rückgrat des Internet-Of-Things (IoT) zu dienen.
