Tokenville.tv - A new kid on the Ethereum gaming block (and why blockchain is still not worth much)
If you take nothing else from this article, take this: Blockchain is not important if no one uses it. Instead of waiting around hoping your ETH makes you a millionaire, try creating or at least joining the ecosystem that will make crypto something we use in the future.
I'm going to use this post to shill myself and a project that I am very passionate about. I hope that's not too frowned upon. I am only loosely affiliated with the Tokenville team, but I do believe that they are building something that could potentially become very important in the future.
Very few of you have ever heard of Tokenville or their first and only completed show so far: Deus ETH. This is a shame because it kicks ass.

Tokenville is a decentralized entertainment platform. Developers are also welcome to develop their own shows. The idea is to have blockchain-based shows, created for those who want to own a part of a show as opposed to only watching it. Just imagine being able to own your favorite character from Game of Thrones. Also imagine being able to generate revenue through the ownership of these popular characters from a blockchain show's universe. Doesn't that sound like a unique improvement upon our current entertainment industry?
I hate to point out the "generate revenue" aspect, but I believe that is ultimately what makes a new disruptive technology, well, disruptive. The internet wasn't valuable when all you could do was talk in chatrooms (AOL). The internet became valuable when creative companies figured out how to internet properly (Amazon, eBay, Google, etc). Blockchain isn't particularly valuable yet, either. I believe fully that one day it will be, but not without platforms like Tokenville transforming the "normal" way we do things currently.

Hi, @natealexhart! The article you wrote is very deep and even touching. You pointed out that blockchain ecosystem is powered by community. This community is vitally important, because it determines the significance of tokenized values. If nobody accepted the Bitcoin as something valuable, it would still be worth nothing, right?
Tokenville is a part of the new era in blockchain development, the era of so-called non-homogenic cryptocurrencies. People who believe that these cryptocurrencies (such as cryptocollectibles) will be crucial in digital economy, are really into projects like Deus ETH.
