Agree, most people (myself included) say "profit"... when we mean 'gone up in value relative to fiat'.

We then sell some our appreciating asset (cryptocurrency) for one that is depreciating (fiat), to allegedly 'lock in some profit.' When in fact what we are doing could be more accurately be described as hedging against crypto volatility.
