Subtratum Gets Past The Great Firewall of China
WARNING: If you are in China it is not recommended to use the SubstratumNode until it gets to production version because the data is not yet encrypted!!!
Subtratum just hit a major milestone by succeding to access Facebook, Twitter and Google from China!
For those who don't know Substratum is a project trying to create a decentralized web. People can host nodes and get paid with the SUB tokenwhile helping support the open internet and bringing net neutrality.
One of the features of SubstratumNode, one that many people doubted could ever be achieved, is being kind of a VPN, but one that governments cant detect it's traffic as being VPN.
Today Substratum proved they achieved it by passing the ultimate challenge, passing the Great Firewall of China!
In this video Justin Tabb, founder and CEO of Substratum, is showing with a VM from China how sites like Facebook and Twitter can't be accessed, and then after activating the SubstratumNode, they load and he even surfs to The New Yotk Times!
This is one of the greatest achievements of a crypto project so far and a truely astonishing one.
Make sure to follow https://twitter.com/SubstratumNet to see what they deliever next!
