INTERNET OF PEOPLE - IOP TOKEN

I have been watching the market closely over the weekend and had my head in STEEMIT when I came across IOP on TREX. It was what they would say 'mooning'. Internet of Things or IOT I had heard of, but Internet of People? and so the search began.

Searches on google and youtube didn't turn up much, it did take me to the to FERMAT.ORG web page who were apparently the organisers of the IOP Token. The name Fermat i guess must've been taken after the famous french mathematician, Pierre de Fermat and was started by an Argentinian by the name Luis Molina. The website was quite bare lacking in info.

From the website I gathered that in essence IOP is about freedom, and about providing that platform for people to achieve just that while maintaining true decentralisation all the way, away from the prying eyes and powers of all central authority. Now Im not a developer, but I did ask the question in their Discord on a scale of 1-10, how decentralised are they, and they said 11. Hopefully they are and have the foresight not to allow centralisation to occur anywhere within their ecosystem.

What came next was quite a suprise, apparently, IOP had a coup d'état recently, the community were not happy with the way things were going with Molina and now, it is being ran they say completely by the community. The new website has their latest roadmap, and apparently IOP is set for some big news in the coming weeks.

At the moment the community is ran with "chapters", just like a Harley club. I was assured not ran in an "authoritative" manner, these "chapters" were used simply as a point of reference for a particular area/country to help get the word out and organise events etc. Immediately I felt a sense of apprehension, but again they assured me that there was no reason to panic and my worry of a scenario where we return back to dictatorship powers of governments was unfounded. I checked and the location or country I'm at was not represented by a local IOP Chapter, hence, I applied, just to satisfy my curiosity on how they operate.

As of today IOP trades at USD1.11 per IOP on Bittrex.
