Crypto Market Caps compared to Country GDPs [If Bitcoin was a Country]
The market caps of many cryptocurrencies are pretty massive; many have market caps larger than the GDP of a mid-sized country. The table below takes the total market cap (including coins not in circulation) and shows where those cryptos would sit if they were a country.
We're a long way off Bitcoin troubling the G20 but it currently has a market cap equivalent to the total production of Guatemala, a country with a population of 16.58 million.
Ethereum currently sits between Cameroon and Paraguay. Ripple between Afghanistan and Cyprus.
You can check out the full list here: Cryptocurrency prices vs Country GDPs
If you want to have a bit of fun, you can click on an individual currency and put in a price projection, to see where your chosen crypto would fall GDP wise, with any price you like.
