Bitcoin was made as a pioneer of the blockchain technology. However, as nowadays lots of people work on with this technology it is inevitable that solutions more innovative then the original concept of Bitcoin come out as it happened with Ethereum. It is a matter of months, maybe years, but other currencies are going to surpass Bitcoin's market capitalization and it's normal.
