Which is your favorite Cryptocurrency Exchange and why?
I'd like to start short trading in a few weeks and i try to figure out which exchange is the best for me? Poloniex seemed to be the best solution for me:
- High volume
- Top 20 altcoins in market cap are tradable
But there are a lot of negative reviews because of issues with withdrawls and missing reactions of Poloniex support. Bittrex looks like a good alternative, but they lack in volume.
Which is your favorite Exchange and why?
I used to use mostly Poloniex but then I created an account of Bitfinex and they have WAY more tools at your disposal. I love the Bollinger bands and the Fibonacci Retracement as well as Stochastics. I do BTC price forecasting with these tools and they are surprisingly accurate.

Bittrex. Has similar volume, though slightly less than Poloniex. They trade the same top 20, but Bittrex adds more lower-cap coins.
Also, I'm very pleased with Bittrex right now as they said they will support BTCC (or BCC or BCH whatever they're gonna call it) on August 1st. The have not said whether it will be tradable right away or ever. They're still deciding.
Thanks for your reply! Sounds good. I won't trade high volume (my budget will be 1BTC or even less), so slightly less volume than Ploniex won't hurt me. I have also not read something bad like issues with withdrawls about Bittrex yet.
i think longstocksilver is right. However in a few weeks you may be a few weeks too late to start shorting as we jsut had a correction and i see the market going up after august 1 or the week after...

Thanks for your advice. I do parental leave (is this the correct translation of german "Elternzeit"?!) in september, therefore i will have more time to go short than i can aford the next days.
i believe it is indeed. And congratz with the pregnancy (of the missus). And yes that makes sense if you indeed have more time ;)
In the US we call it "paternity leave" for dads (after their baby is born)
