Australian airport will be the first to accept crypto-coins
The Brisbane Airport administration in Australia has announced a partnership with the TravelbyBit platform, which will allow travelers to pay with crypto-coins.
Using TravelbyBit's payment system, travelers will be able to use Bitcoin, Dash, Ethereum and other criptos for payment in stores and restaurants at two airport terminals.
"Many people around the world make money by investing in crypto-coins and many of them travel the world. So it makes sense to offer them the opportunity to pay at our terminals with crypto-coins", said Roel Hellemons, director-general of Strategic Planning and Development at the Brisbane Airport Corporation.
Brisbane Airport becomes the first major transportation hub in the world to fully embrace the cryptos.
In 2017 a Japanese airline was the first to accept payments in bitcoin.
