I only use Coinbase because I already have the approval for bank withdrawls (still takes too many days). Then I transfer the money to GDAX and then if I want something other than BTC-ETH-LTC I buy some coins and transfer it to another exchange. A bit convoluted, but it works. I haven't tried the reverse of cashing out an alt coin.
you can deposit from the bank to Gdax the same as to coinbase, your account login is the same already set up.
