I entered the crypto world in the beginning of 2018 (you can read my story here), and after a while I decided to setup my own masternode (read my experience here). Days after days, I became more interested in that technology and I now own several nodes. As I am writing these few lines, most of the masternode projects are still young. As a consequence you can't find it on big exchanges such as Binance, Bittrex or Kucoin, but most of them are present on CryptoBridge. As I was using it, I had to find some tricks & tips to use it efficiently...

Exchange page not loading

How many of you already faced this page ?

Very frustrating right ? 

In most case It's quite easy too solve this issue, as it's related to the CryptoBridge Node you are connected to. As CB is a DEX you can choose among many nodes. To do so, just go over the current node (bottom right) and clic "Advanced settings".

On this page, switch " Automatically select node (XX available) " to OFF. 

You will see a list of available nodes, select the one that seems the best, usually in green, and the issue should be fixed !

Gateway service down

Here again, this issue can get on our nerves when we want to deposit or withdraw funds. 

When you get this message, it's important to understand that there is absolutely no problem with the crypto you are trying to send or receive. It's one more time a problem with the CryptoBridge node you are connected to. I have 3 ways to solve it instantaneously :

• Try to refresh the page (CTRL+F5), or close the tab and open it again.
• Try with an other web browser.
• Try to change node, with method described previously.

Make sure your deposits reach CryptoBridge

For this one, I mostly do it to anticipate any potential issue. In some cases, the deposits to Cryptobridge could fail, for instance when the wallet version is updated, or when there is a swap, or whatever.

In that case, I strongly advise to renew the deposit address before sending the coins, by clicking "GET NEW ADDRESS".

From my experience, I never lost any single coin by doing that. Maybe it's useless, but I prefer to be safe :)

Use CryptoBridge without BTS

The first time I used CryptoBridge I was confused. I tried to buy an ALT and I got a error message because I didn't own any BTS (BTS is the crypto-asset used by CryptoBridge). I remember at that time I thought  "What ?! They want to force me to buy their money ? No way !". In fact, you don't need BTS to use CryptoBridge : You can select in which currency you want to pay the fees.
