Sometimes you can immediately spot a bad project by the name. You shouldn't judge based only on the name but it can actually be a good place to start. The name of a coin often tries to imply the coin is specifically and specially designed for a certain function or industry. There are certain industries we all know would be perfect for Crypto and that desperately need crypto in order to thrive. One industry that fits this description is the Marijuana industry. One of the biggest problems facing this industry right now is banking, they literally have too much money and sometimes no where to put it. So in steps pot coin.

Pot coin was a perfect example of a coin that named itself after an industry that it wanted to be used in while at the same time offering absolutely nothing in the way of function or credibility to the industry. I watched in horror late DEC 17 and early Jan 18 as so many victims of this coin fomoed into it thinking that because it was called POT coin it was designed to bring the power of the block chain to the Marijuana industry. The truth is POT coin can not do anything that Lite coin or Dash couldn't do. The coin that will one day be the back bone of the marijuana industry will be a coin that has functions such as RFID tracking the important thing that the Marijuana industry needs is tracking from seed to sale. The coin that truly enables that will be the big winner in that industry. Also it will be a coin not used only for that industry it will have mass appeal and a team that knows a little more than just how to market a generic idea.
