So I bought a trading bot...
So I decided to buy a trading bot this week. It's something I've been curious about for a while and finally decided to try out. I think it's a very interesting idea but there is definitely some risk involved in using one. Right now I'm only using 0.1 BTC to trade with as I'm pretty new and still figuring out what the best way to use it is and I don't want to have all my eggs in one basket just in case it's a total disaster.
I'm just wondering if this is something that any of you would be interested in having me post about? I see a few people posting about trading bots on YouTube but it mostly just feels like they are trying to get you to buy the bot using their affiliate link. I would try to post accurate numbers and not just purely the profit from sales because there are negative factors involved such as getting stuck with unsellable bags, and amounts left over from partial sales which can't be traded.
Anyways just thought I'd throw this out there and see if there was any interest.
I think that this is a great idea. One question is which bot are you using? I just went through setting up Profit trailer and the experience was such that I felt the need to create a noob guide to doing it. It would be very helpful to post DCA settings and buying strat settings along with 24 hour results and market conditions during those times. I'm doing Profit Trailer as well. The DCA settings are a bit tricky only using 0.1 BTC, right now I'm just using Anderson with -3.5, -5.5, -7.5 as my rebuy markers. I feel like I need more BTC in order to bump it up any higher.
Sorry for the delay in responding to you, things got hectic around here. I have one question, how do you manage bags in PT? Keep in min, this is for a family member, i'm just trying to help him with it because I'm a bit more tech savvy than he is. Is it normal for 75%-80% of the coins bought by PT to go through the DCA file?
Most of my coins end up in dca, it's one of the frustrating parts of the bot. When the market is really moving you don't get as many bags but when it slows down you end up needing to dca out of the bags. Dca makes it easier to get some profit out of the trades but can really dig a hole on a bad coin.
I'm going to try and get out of my bags today and try refining my coin list so I'm only trading coins I feel have some upside.
Sounds like a winner to me. Let me know your results after refining. I understand the purpose of the DCA but it has been giving us problems the last few days. Just too many coins being stuck there for way too long, even restricting the number of pairs the bot can deal with at one time.
Yeah I'm maxed out with bad coins today, really sucks, considering just taking the loss and refining my pairs at this point.

What type of bot is it?
you need to download it? did you got files? or is it "online" one?
Profit Trailer is a bot you download and monitor through a local network GUI in a web browser. I wrote my own guide for installing it cause the ones that are out there aren't exactly noob friendly. I would suggest being pretty familiar with crypto trading before trying this bot out.

Is this what whales use to shake up the market? Or do they organize and do it manually.
I believe they have pump and dump groups and do the trading manually. I think I need to start seeking these groups out in the near future.
Well if you find them share them :) I noticed that there are some groups on Telegram, but it seems to be only noobs on it. Not sure it's effective.
