Pangea aims to test updates to the Harmony core protocol, and reward community members who help secure the Harmony network.

WHAT DOES IT USE?
Armony uses the RaptorQ source code that is responsible for combating certain problems. Each message is encoded in symbols, and these symbols are sent over the wire until the receiver recognizes the symbols it received. Unlike the use of fixed rate such as Reed-Solomon codes, where transmission normally fails once the symbols have been received.
In harmony, the process of consensus and sharding is composed of the concept of epochs. Each epoch is a certain period of time during this process the sharding structure is fixed and each fragment is executed continuously with the same set of validators.
Harmony uses a set of nodes to verify the transactions made in the block chains as the fragmented block chain is the first fragment is filled with trie which is the current state. Harmony to optimize the state synchronization process more and more, makes the blockchain state as small as possible by making transactions almost instantaneously.
