Blockchain for neighbours and shops, developed by Koibanx.com

In many blogs you can read all kinds of information about the blockchain as it has come into our lives and as it slowly becomes present in many organizations.

As I always say, the blockchain is here to stay.

Governments are not exempt from this when I mention organizations, as we know governments are managed by people and these in turn realize the full potential and what is happening with respect to the blockchain.

Some governments are promoting the use of blockchain as is the case of Venezuela..

Venezuela with your crypto coin PETRO

The most recent thing I have been able to read is what is happening in the municipality of Marcos Paz, in the province of Buenos Aires (Argentina), last July 4 of this year launched an app ActivΦs mmp,

It is a platform in which neighbors and businesses live together, which will be used to exchange goods and services using digital assets.

They identified a problem that affects us all at a global level, but in this case refers to their municipality. This initiative was carried out taking into account an entire problem in several aspects very complicated in Argentina, despite being an economically stable country for its citizens, I say this in comparison with Venezuela.

“With the idea of improving the local economy, promoting community behavior and rewarding good neighbors, the Municipality of Marcos Paz understood that Blockchain technology could bring them closer to what they were looking for" provide a solution to relieve their citizens, what better way than blockchain.

They worked on it and launched a solution developed by Koibanx, this financial solutions provider company applying Blockchain. The name of the app is ActivΦs mmp, and it was conceived as a platform where neighbors and businesses interact producing exchanges of goods and services using digital assets.

“ActivΦs mmp is a clear example of how we can apply Blockchain technology to facilitate the economic and financial management of people at the same time, improve the management of the municipality by bringing government actions closer to citizens. Neighbors can transfer, save and exchange their assets (which are represented digitally) in an agile, secure, efficient, low-cost way and always having control of their funds; all possible characteristics for Blockchain technology," highlighted Leo Elduayen, co-founder and COO of Koibanx.

Although this was launched on July 4 I could read that for the month of April pilot tests were made with 50 neighbors who belong to that municipality as they are duly registered in it and is one of the requirements to qualify for the benefits granted by that municipality to live there, once these neighbors registered after downloading the application on his cell phone were awarded some points that are credited in the wallet that could be exchanged for some products of small businesses that were also registered previously.

This is the sample of some shops that are already participating in the municipality to make commercial exchanges accepted the currency ActivΦs mmp

The app can work in two ways at the same time, as a citizen or as a merchant, as you have the ability to do both.

Another property in this application is that the user or merchant can also accumulate points instead of exchanging them and deducting them from their municipal tax payment.

It is a win-win for everyone, sounds great but some questions are being asked, this initiative is already being validated and emulated by some innovative cities in the world.

I asked myself several questions however I will only share these with all of you.

* What happens to the trade if it only receives these points as a form of payment and manages to sell all its products in this currency?

*How does the merchant replenish inventory if suppliers do not accept this currency? It would be very interesting to know that.

I'd like to know what your questions are. I particularly couldn't find much information about it even though your official website goes straight to the municipality's website..

I have noticed the neighbors shops Blockchain, those cryptocurrencies, often after 1 year of release, the price is only 1/100 left, it seems that developers will always sell their cryptocurrency to get money, so that kind of cryptocurrency is not Will rise price, only fall price.
So when you need to use him to buy goods, it is best to only convert just the right money.

Hi @cloudblade

Thank you for your observation, but I can tell you that what I could read in this initiative that is being carried out by that municipality with the neighbors and those that are not present until now, the behavior is very new and most likely they should look an alternative so that what you mention does not happen, of course it is only my point of view as a connoisseur of public matter.

I am very grateful for your observations. Thanks for visiting my publication

Great to see that this small scale implementation exists. These kinds of experiments are very important for further developing the concept, to see what works and what eventually need some changes and adaptations. Maybe this is a model that can work only for some trade or production, let's say of agriculture and fishing ad example that circulates mostly in the community. Here in my area, there are a solid number of these kinds of small communities and small businesses and I see this as something that could work perfectly for them ... even if this is the limit - is not at all a small thing.

Hi @borjan
if to me in the porticular it seems to me great, the good thing of all that that absolutely all the transactions are registered in the blockchain, is a very good initiative and tines reason when saying:

Great to see that this small scale implementation exists. These kinds of experiments are very important for further developing the concept.

Hi @lanzjoseg maybe not all countries understand money in digital and maybe only some can understand, because the world of blockhain not everyone can understand it and even takes a long time to understand and be patient

Hi @anitacarolina
You're right.
But this initiative marvels the difference because it is gradually introducing people to know this world of the crypto will reach a point that will be normal. as it currently happens in paying with FIAT currency.

I am very grateful for your observations. Thanks for visiting my publication

Blockchain technology is definitely a future but, cryptos are still vulnerable to price rigging because of their unstable price and freedom for everyone to invent a new coin. Also, governments are run by powerful people who would only try to maximize their resources. However, it seems to me a good initiative.

Hi @akdx
If you are right.
But corruption theoretically should go down. as we know everything is registered in the blockchai, that is a double-edged sword for them. that part is what I like the most we can know what they do with the resources of that crypto.

I am very grateful for your observations. Thanks for visiting my publication

Welcome dear!

Hello @lanzjoseg this is a great discussion for the community. What I've seen over the years of me being apart of the blockchain culture; many platforms come in with the intentions to help develop and maintain the current nature of cryptocurrency. You have some very interesting and valid questions regarding this matter. I would ponder to know the answers as well, especially regarding to how the merchants will replenish inventory. Unless the supplier accept cryptocurrency as a form of payment, the merchant would ultimately be guilty of taking funds away from the blockchain every time they restocked. I could go on and on about this pal but I'm just going to stop here. Thanks for this wonderful blog.

No way to only use this as a merchant over here. It would not even work for getting black money. You are registered so the tax shows up and you have to pay them. You can say you earned less but they are not gonna buy it.

If suppliers not accept it you can close your business.

Dear @wakeupkitty

Exactly you are right, it would only work between them but unless you expand the use at all levels. but I see that very difficult.
Now the positive side is that people who do not have knowledge of the chain of blocks, now they will have it.

May the universal law fill your life with blessings, thank you for visiting my publication

You are, like always, welcome.
Hope you and your family manage. 💕

Hello, my friend!

I am glad to know that the blockchain technology is being used as an economic financing alternative. Obviously, there needs to be an exchange associated with any new crypto created to allow users to exchange and acquire (buy or sell) the cryptocurrency.

In my opinion, the problem with this is that trading makes the price of cryptocurrency fluctuate too fast, without a good education about cryptocurrency and the importance of "hodl-ing" is difficult to prevent a cryptocurrency from disappearing (or value zero).

Thanks for sharing

Hi @jadams2k18

This is a friend is necessary a good education with respect to the issue of crypto coins otherwise that mass of people will not take seriously everything about the blockchain.

I am very grateful for your observations. Thanks for visiting my publication

In theory, using a blockchain should facilitate the audit of resources, so corruption should face a new problem, it is related to the fact that all the operations of all the wallets would be visible to any person. No more black holes that devour budgets without knowing where the resources went, although you can not know who was paid for the anonymity that allows the payment, if you can know when the payment came from the account and that It would be the responsibility of whoever is in charge, so they would have to answer if a dubious handling of the funds is found.
I hope that this argentine experiment in this subject goes well.

Hi @pedrobrito2004

There are many prevendas that the chain of blocks brings and that is one and the best thing is this and any transaction is registered.

I am very grateful for your observations. Thanks for visiting my publication

There is another thing that I was thinking, it was the detail that to facilitate the exchange of funds they could have used a blockchain that was already widespread enough, I do not understand the benefit of using one that only has a local impact, unless they have an exchange that allow them to convert funds comfortably.
