Most of you are probably thinking...wait, who?

You see, what you don't know is that there are dozens, hell, maybe even hundreds. Or thousands. Of people who have greatly impacted your life that you don't even know about. And the sad truth is that the reason you don't is because corporations don't want you to. After all, you would think everyone would know the name of the man who invented the chicken nugget. It's practically an american staple. But McDonald's would prefer you think it was them who came up with it instead.

And how about Robert Kearns? No? Every time it rains and you're in the car, thank Robert. Because he created the intermittent windshield wiper. But you might not have known that, because the Ford motor company stole his idea and he had to spend the rest of his life fighting to get back the credit he deserved as famously depicted in the Greg Kinnear biopic "Flash of Genius".

So why do I bring this up, and what the heck does this have to do with crypto?

Simple: Ownership.

One thing that is often overlooked by those who've long decided "bitcoin is a scam", is that blockchain does so much more than simply transfer bits across the internet securely. It has so much more ability and one of those features I'm most excited about is its ability to verify ownership.

With the implementation of smart contracts, we will be able to authenticate and verify anything that is registered to a public ledger. This means that we might one day live in a world where money isn't the only thing that is not open to be counterfeited. Our ideas, our inventions, our creativity matter most. And because we have created a system where power and influence overwhelm justice, sometimes our value is muted.

The revolution is coming. And this technology, like it or not, will force us to face the fact that human beings, left to their own will, are simply no good at playing fair. Who knows what we will be able to do once equality and a sense of true personal freedom is restored to society? What amazing ideas will we be free to share? How will those who once felt stifled and marginalized be empowered by this new financial and spiritual freedom? I don't know about you, but I get goosebumps just thinking about it.

Let's all take a moment to learn what this is truly about. Stop checking the damn prices every five minutes and start seeing this for what it is. Heck, get involved! Because the sooner we all get on board, the faster we can save this damn planet.
