Are tokens a solution for nuclear energy and pollution ?steemCreated with Sketch.

In the morning I had an interesting discussion with a French mathematicians called Luka.

It started with the question if a sheet of printed paper would require the same amount of energy as if you would watch the same content on the internet. This expanded to pollution and real energy consumption and finally we talked aobut real and assumed costs.

Water and air are obviously worth something and for sure it costs some energy something to get them clean again. This might get really costly or would require quite a lot of energy.

How could this costs be evaluated or estimated and my proposal came surprisingly quickly. A new currency or token might be introduced whose value is not sure for quite a value.

At least politicians might talk about something and have some figures or numbers which can be used as an argument.

Isn't that already the case with real money

Well, we notice every day that prices for goods and products are changing and there is no warranty as how much something will cost in the future.

How long we might work in the future for buying a certain product ? How justified is that at all ?

In case a currency, coin or token might really help to prevent an ecological desaster then it is something we should be happy about.
