Cobinhood vs Robinhood vs Coinbase (No Competition)

Competition, I love it!

In January popular no commission stock trading app, Robinhood announced they will be diving into the world of #blockchain technology and #cryptocurrencies. Starting with California, Massachusetts, Missouri, Montana, and New Hampshire. As of right now customers are able to watch the following #crypto : Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Ripple, Ethereum Classic, Zcash, Monero, Dash, Stellar, Qtum, Bitcoin Gold, OmiseGo, NEO, Lisk, and Dogecoin. Funny enough Robinhood was one of the first mobile trading apps I starting using, however I quickly graduated to trading the Foreign exchange & Cryptocurrencies. However starting this month users will only be able to purchase BTC and ETH, Robinhood is being very selective on coins that will be added. But how come no one has mentioned Cobinhood?!

Cobinhood

Created back in October 2017 a cryptocurrency service platform for the blockchain, it was created with the average retail investor/trader in mind. Cobinhood was the FIRST zero fee high frequency trading , also offering Initial Coin Offering (ICO) underwriting services. For more information on how to start your own ICO & details visit: Cobinhood ICO Services Most exchanges charge a fee on both the buying and selling side, averaging from 1.5-2.5% Not to include account minimums and sometimes steep margin requirements. All these issues are eliminated allowing traders the best execution and maximizing market liquidity. As of right now Cobinhood currently supports the following cryptocurrencies: Cobinhood 1.png
Highlighted in yellow is Cobinhood's tradable token COB. As a token holder you receive a couple of privileges:
1.) 50% off margin trading loan interest when trading with COB tokens.
2.) COB token holders will be able to get future ICO tokens Cobinhood underwrites at lower rates.

More privileges may be added in the future, current privileges may be subject to change in the future. Not to mention Cobinhood also supports the following fiat currencies: New Taiwan Dollar, Hong Kong Dollar, South Korean Won, Canadian Dollar, Chinese Yuan, Australian Dollar, Great British Pound, Japanese Yen, the Euro, and the US Dollar.

Shut downs

Another issue Cobinhood has solved is no random shutdowns. Typically these shutdowns occur because exchanges don't have proper infrastructure to be able to support high frequency trading volumes. I have personally experienced this issue with Kraken and Binance. Able to process more than a MILLION orders per second, making it as close to real time trading as possible. Enough about Cobinhood, lets compare it with today's competitors: Robinhood and Coinbase.

Coinbase vs Robinhood

Currently open to all US citizens, about 13 million users are registered with Coinbase. On the other hand Robinhood only has about 3 million users + 1 million users waiting in line for their cryptocurrency platform. The big difference between Robinhood and Coinbase besides the fees (attached below) is Coinbase allows you to export your coins while Robinhood does not. Just like the free stock trading app, you don't actually own the coins. Instead Robinhood holds them on your behalf. However Robinhood does offer ETF's on cryptos, similar to common stock providing more security and accessibility.2018-02-11_07-36-23.png

Conclusion

All of these platforms have some great feautures when compared to the other. However looking at the numbers it seems our winner is clear; Cobinhood. The cryptocurrency world is still relatively new to most and a number of other platforms may come up. Currently I am using all 3 platforms and maximizing their privileges while they last.
