The Bitcoin maximalists and their death threats

Is this what the cryptocurrency community has become? Does a prominent member of the community have to fear for his life for merely showing appreciation for another crypto project? 

What's there to be done and what do you think is the best way forward? Recently, Steemit has come under attack by Bitcoin maximalists. It doesn't matter if it's DASH, Steemit or some other project. I think all altcoins need to stick together and protect each other from Bitcoin maximalist bullying coming from the bigger Bitcoin brother.

    It's indeed ironic, isn't it. Bitcoin was started to expand our freedom not diminish it. If you believe the "money is speech" argument, Bitcoin should be all about freedom of speech.
