The Year of the Doge! 狗狗币年！
On January 4th, Dogecoin reached two significant milestones that while can be easily dismissed, they set the precedence to be the next big thing in the days to come.
The first milestone is that Dogecoin reached the market cap of 1 billion dollars. Not a big deal if you see the value of each dogecoin compared to the overall market cap, that means the reach and spread is very, very wide. The second is that the value reached 1 cent. Not a big deal once again but if you check the the historical price, you'll notice the over 400% increase.
With such a wide adoption and an increasing value, this must be good news right? Not quite... While the mass adoption is greatly welcomed, The increased value comes with increased responsibility.

So is Dogecoin a scam? Not really. There is literally no coin I could think of that has mass adoption, low barrier of entry and fast transaction that I could think up of. It's not flashy, not new or untested, and it just works.
Casuals collect it. Crypto holders use it for large transactions to avoid waiting and fees. Traders use it as a exit currency when their risky venture exceeds rewards.
The big things to come? Feburary 16 is the start of the Chinese new year... the year of the dog.... or should I say Doge?
I like doge. It has always been the coin I fall back on when it's time to consolidate my gains or when I need to ride out a particularly red patch in the market.
