Brave Browser – Basic Attention Token (BAT) - A 2019 Analysis
The browser has over 5.5 million monthly users and Ads are coming in 2019.
The open source and privacy-focused Brave browser blocks trackers and ads by default, providing browsing speed up to 2x times faster for desktop and up to 8x times for mobile, when compared to Chrome. It also has its own token integrated, the Basic Attention Token (BAT), providing a solution to the problem of supporting websites and content creators.
The ICO was held on May 31, 2017 with 156,250 ETH – $36 million raised in just 24 seconds. Brave was created by the Mozilla co-founder and inventor of the Javascript programming language, Brendan Eich. The team consists of 74 employess all working together to create a faster, safer and better browsing experience.
