Almost all large companies in our time are looking for new employees on the Internet, using professional services like LinkedIn and HeadHunter. Some share of recruitment is for personal acquaintances, but online recruitment still dominates.

Its main problem is that the data in the resume and the portfolio before hiring need to be thoughtfully checked - and suddenly the applicant embellished their achievements or pointed to firms where in fact did not work?

An original solution to the problem is the Californian startup SpringRole.

What is it?

SpringRole was founded in Los Angeles in 2014 by Cardic Mandeville and Hank Hwang. Their idea sounded simple - to help employers to make informative descriptions of vacancies with mandatory entry of keywords (usually this is the mention of "skills"). Then SpringRole "fed" the description to its candidate search algorithm, which analyzed the keywords and immediately offered hundreds of resumes.

The algorithm took a summary from the databases of the United States and India (analogues of our HeadHunter), in the sum of 85 million profiles. The Mandavil and Hwang stages appeared to be in demand. His services were used, for example, by Dollar Shave Club, SpaceX Ilona Mask and well-known in the manufacturer of the game console Ouya. Over time, Mandeville and Hwang faced with the fact that applicants indicated incorrect data about themselves in order to attract the attention of employers.

So Mandeville had the idea to redesign SpringRole in the direction of a professional network for verification and attestation of "skills". As a basis, the businessman took the block.

How it works?

SpringRole is a decentralized professional network, analogue of LinkedIn on the blockbuster. If you think that LinkedIn easily "eat" a green competitor, then I advise you not to rush to conclusions. In LinkedIn, it's easy to create a fake resume or ask friends to support your "skills" with the plus sign. In SpringRole, this is impossible.

There is nothing complicated in the structure of SpringRole:

Register (the authors promise to support all the current devices and operating systems) and start the profile;
add information about education, work places, achievements and skills;
you can personally request confirmation of all the positions indicated in the resume, using a special protocol. It is assumed that companies, universities, etc will join SpringRole;
an employer who came across your resume and became interested in it, is also free to request verification from companies and universities (if you have not already done so);
Fake accounts that have not been verified / certified will be "banished".
Transactions on the platform require SPRING tokens. Do you want to confirm the qualification? Be in touch with old employers. It will not do without assessments and feedback from ex-bosses and colleagues - on their basis a reputation is built.

Attestation of other users is a good passive income. The creators of the platform will implement the referral program, but its mechanism is not yet described. Holders of tokens will receive some bonuses, including access to the premium features of the platform.

Road map

In the SpringRole beta, you can edit the profile from February this year. In the coming months, the authors of the platform will be pushed to implement the planned functionality. API for third-party developers will be available in late 2018
