1- China shutting down all crypto exchanges and ICOs, Chinese investors have turned to the Korean market for opportunities in the cryptocurrency space leading to concerns in Korea that their local crypto-trading industry may become dominated by Chinese investors.
2 - The South Korean Supreme Court has ruled that cryptocurrency is an asset with economic value that can be confiscated. In the case involving a porn site and 191 confiscated BTC, the country’s top court upheld a district court’s ruling.
3 - Representatives of Canada’s cryptocurrency industry are urging lawmakers to provide greater clarity regarding the regulatory obligations of cryptocurrency exchanges. In response to the absence of clear guidelines, a number of Canadian virtual currency exchanges have taken it upon themselves to voluntary register and report to Canada’s financial regulator.
4 - Brazil, at country that boasts the largest economy in South America, is becoming increasing interested in cryptocurrencies and associated blockchain technology, with the public, the government, and the education system all hopping on the bandwagon.
5 - BitBay, the largest crypto exchange in Poland, has decided to move its operations to the Mediterranean island. This move, although not that ground breaking, follows in the wake of major relocations such as those of Binance, OKEx and DQR who have all announced that they are setting up their operations in crypto-friendly Malta.
