Best Bitcoin Wallet

in #cryptocurrency7 years ago

It's possible to preserve Bitcoin in different ways:

  • Digital portfolio with software on computer and notebook: they store crypto locally
  • Mobile devices, smartphones and tablets have many applications
  • Online wallet, on specific websites that are platforms with special security requirements
  • Hardware Wallet

DIGITAL LOCAL WALLET
The reference point is definitely the official Bitcoin Core. However, you will need to ensure that your computer is protected against viruses and malware. This wallet needs a lot of space to download blockchain data. Pay attention to update your operating system or switch software architecture

WALLET ON MOBILE PHONE
Generally you have to think that it's not a good idea to store large amount of crypto money on your mobile wallet phone. Mobile phone are easy to stole or break.

ONLINE WALLET
You can generate addresses, receive and send Bitcoin. Generally these sites allow the management of multiple digital coins.
Coinbase and Poloniex allows safe on-line storage of Bitcoin, Ethereum, STEEM and so on. In addition it is a dollar exchange rate. Naturally for STEEM cryptocurrency it's better the STEEMIT native wallet.

HARDWARE WALLET
The most popular and best Bitcoin hardware wallet is Ledger Nano S. It's not free as previous solutions, but easiest way to securely store bitcoins.

What's your favourite way to store your Bitcoins?

Have you tried Bitttrex?

not. Do you recommend it?

You can use it when you are having issue with Polo. Would you mind to see my posts?

Not yet find best one . But I believe poloniex is best user interface and trustable.

I agree ;)

The wallet choice needs to be proportionate to the money you have in BTC.

If you are only having 100$ in Bitcoin, then exodus or coinbase or blockchain is fine. If you have higher amounts, then consider windows exposure to hacking (exodus). Or coinbase being locked out.

In this case I recommend Mycelium with safe paper seed stored away.

With high amounts, go to deep cold storage - ledger with super safely stored seed in safe.
