Spiritcoin for schools

My name is John Rank. For the last 15 years I have worked in special education programs at the high school and transitional program level.

Currently, I am endevoring to create a cryptocurrency tentatively called SPIRITCOIN as a non-fiat value, monetary-style token for use in schools and special needs programs.
Optimally, I hope to be able to use such a token to reward and help motivate students.
Most importantly, I believe this will enable teaching basic financial concepts without involving actual cash money, a HUGE roadblock when trying to teach these skills in public schools and in special needs program settings.

To this end, I have started a Go Fund Me campaign to continue to fund development of Project Spiritcoin.

The money will be used in part to purchase additional specialized hardware to provide digital resources consumed in blockchain cryptocurrency transactions necessary for development. Additional mining nodes will allow for expanded rewards based on the work they accomplish verifying blockchain transactions. This is cryptocurrency "mining". Other anticipated costs include the electricity consumed in the mining/hashing process, and the cooling of the hashing equipment.

It is my goal to crowd fund enough mining equipment to be able to make the development, testing and deployment of this project completely financially self sustainable through mining alone. I do not want a digital fish, I want a digital fishing pole.

After establishing mining revenue, our work will focus on developing and issuing Spiritcoin tokens, and a corresponding Spiritcoin wallet to end users.
Importantly, as the Spiritcoin project yields usable results, any and all success in these efforts (technical and educational) I plan to share, initially through donor updates and photos as #spiritcoin and on FB page Project Spiritcoin. Eventually as SPIRITCOIN evolves, my dream is to make both the program objectives and the SPIRITCOIN tokens available and accessable to as many people and educational programs as can possibly benefit.
