IOTA now really seems to be the next big thing. Personally I really like the idea behind it (especially because it fixes two main issues that crypto currencies have: transaction fees and scalability).
The only thing I'm wondering about is, whether the quite specialised focus of IOTA might keep it from becoming mainstream.
I looked a little into IOTA and what it is, and it does sound interesting and with the videos here it seems promising in terms of usability. I just always keep in the back of my head the risk of how it may be used in ways we are not told. And as it includes the concept of the internet of things is a little suspisious there.
As i dont really support the notion of every device being connected to an internet of things. Device then including all from a tablet to a watch to a toaster.
Yes you are right. In terms of usability and scalability it is a very promising solution. Of course there will be many legal and ethical questions concerning the m2m communication especially in combination with artificial intelligence. But in my opinion iot is the future (with all the possible risks).
