Patience & Discipline = Equal Opportunities in Trading
There are some great long-term opportunities as a crypto trader. There is no magic pill to make you a successful trader. There is no holy grail and no guarantee of success. But there is a tremendous opportunity for success for the dedicated person. Why do most people lose in Las Vegas? Odds are it has something to do with patience or discipline.
It is in our human DNA to trade and we have done this quite successfully since the beginning of humankind. We currently trade vastly different instruments but the fundamentals are completely the same. An auction is a great example of active trading. Now I would be lying if I told you that trading is a perfectly level playing field. It is not. However, becoming a trader does create some equal opportunities. Patience and discipline are two great pillars of a successful trader.
Admit tingly, when I think of patience I think of women. Why? Be warned I'm going to be slightly sexist here, but women generally tend to have more patience than men. Patience often produces discipline. These strengths do translate in trading.
In trading, patience often means letting your gains compound before selling and discipline is selling when at a minimal loss and not letting your ego control your brain.
Unfortunately, women salaries on average are lower than mens for the same position. One of the biggest opportunities of trading for many people is equal opportunities. The market does not care who you are, where you came from or what you think. Your computer does not care who hits buy/sell button to execute a trade. Lastly, equal opportunity can mean people with disabilities or people who cannot work a traditional 9-5 job due to health can participate in the market as a trader. Like anything trading can be learned but only with patience and discipline.

Thank you very much - appreciate the kind words!
Some much needed words of wisdom right now. As all the exchanges bleed red, some patience and discipline means evaluating where losses need to be stopped and one opportunities need to be taken.
Following your line of thought, do you think portfolios of male investors and female investors differ much on average? If so, how do you think they would differ?
Thank you for the reply. Yes, it certainly was not a pretty day. While I don't have concrete statistics at hand - I have read and heard from various resources that women conduct considerable less trades in brokerage accounts than men. They seem to exhibit more patience. Thank you again for your great response!
Well said..."Patience and discipline are two great pillars of a successful trader."
Thanks for giving me a relief.
Today, i don't know why I was regretting the fact that I didn't withdraw money earlier, when there was relatively higher profit.
After reading your article, I got a bit of relief.
Thanks @ in-n-out
Thank you. Although hopefully soon the crypto market will provide some additional relief as well! :)
