When Human beings came into existence there was no medium of communication.
Slowly they used different signs, rock art and cave paintings for communication.
After some time they started to learn some communication tricks like Pigeon letter carrier, Travellers, bull carts, horse riders etc.
Due to the passage of time automobiles, bikes, ships, airplanes, telephone, television, internet and mobile phones were introduced.
These inventions were used by people all over the world for communication purposes.

But it is the social media that has revolutionized the world.
Social media has brought people closer to each other. It has changed the world. It has changed the world into a global village.
People spend hours on social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other social networks.
I think social media is used in almost every field of life.
Students use it spread and gain knowledge.
Business mans and advertisers use it to promote their own products.
Organizations and companies use it to provide information about their technology and services.
Social media is used by today's New generation for chatting, online texting, voice and video calls, posts, etc.
In short, social media has enveloped the whole world and it seems like its going to rule the life of a human being in future.
Every invention or technology has drawbacks. And these social media networks have plenty of them.
Social media networks have been very helpful and popular from the last decade.
Everyone has used social media networks like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Skype and so on.
These centralized social networks have helped us to create the cheapest communication system.
But at the same time these centralized social networks are looting us. These centralized social media websites doesn't provide us the things that we need.
First I will show you how the use of social media networks like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram have effected the new generation.
The excessive use of social media is damaging our offsprings and also some diseases have attacked them.
Also the students and employees gets disturbed by these centralized social networks.

Now we will discuss the Disadvantages and demerits of centralized social media networks.
Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Skype, whatsapp are all centralized social media websites.
That means you don't have the control on your own accounts.
The centralized nature of these websites is the most dangerous part of social media networks.
Centralized social media websites doesn't give you the kind of transparency, privacy and security that you need and deserve.
You can not save your data from being stolen. These sites sell your data and sell you ads and earn millions of dollars from your property. They do not even tell you.
These sites represent you as their products and earn money.
And importantly you get nothing in return.
These centralized social networks have been looting people and many scandal and data scams have been already done.
Example is the recently reported scam by Facebook.

Shares of Facebook fell as much as 5 percent Tuesday, after falling as much as 8 percent on Monday. UK officials are also investigating the alleged mishandling of data.
People started reacting on this data scam and some big celebrities have deleted their Facebook account permanently.
Personalities like Jim Carrey, Farhan Akhtar and Elon Musk have deleted their Facebook accounts.

The 44-year-old now has permanently deleted his Facebook account. Farhan took to Twitter to announce the big news. “Good morning. This is to inform you all that I have permanently deleted my personal Facebook account.His move comes after Facebook faced worldwide criticism over the claims that Cambridge Analytica, the UK data analysis firm hired by Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign, harvested and misused data of 50 million members. The actor-director, however, did not mention the reason for quitting the platform.
Earlier, billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk also deleted Facebook pages of SpaceX, Tesla and his own official account on the social media platform. “It’s not a political statement and I didn’t do this because someone dared me to do it. Just don’t like Facebook. Gives me the willies. Sorry,” Musk tweeted.
This happened only because the privacy and security of their accounts is damaged due to the centralized nature of these social media giants like Facebook and Twitter.
This proved that people took the privacy and security services seriously.
And from then people have been searching for an alternative social media network.
And I think the best alternative for Facebook and Twitter should be a decentralized social network.
