Cryptocurrency investments in Russia grown by 10 times!

  Investments to Russian crypto startups increased from 20 to 200 millions of dollars in 2017. It was counted by investment company “CryptoBazar”.

  According to the numbers of this firm, russian businessmans offered from the whole world to their projects 200 millions of dollars since the beginning of 2017.

  “Year earlier it was about 20 millions. Startupers launched more than 100 big cryptocurrency projects, in 2016 took place only 20 projects, by the way”

- said founder of trading platform Cryptobazar Oleg Ivanov. 

“However more than 10 percent of money, offered by ICO were lost or stolen because of hacking attacks”

 Company analyzed 372 ICO and noticed that 400 millions from 3.7 offered billions were stolen. Also researching shown that popularity of ICO in Russia is decreasing since the end of 2017. Less than 25 percent of projects achieved their aim in november by comparison with 90 percent in june. It can be describe by low quality of projects, inefficient system of safety and the last large problem…regulation. 

Law project “About digital financial assets” accepted by Russian government in the beginning of 2018 include many information connected with ICO. For example: 

•  Crypto startups can offer tokens for sum, which must not be higher than 1 billion of Russian roubles.
•  One Citizen of Russian Federation is able to buy tokens of one ICO project only for sum equal 50000 russian roubles and not more. 

  To my mind, these “regulation” methods can decrease development of our digital economy, Improving in new sphere would stop because of such kind of “regulation”. In my opinion, market of ICO in Russia has a great potential to create principally new sphere of economy, more comfortable, efficient and what is the main, more helpful for usual people. Of course, it is so young and has many minuses now, such as: problems of safety and speculation, but in the nearest future they would be resolved by interaction of all sides i guess.
