Vitalik’s Twitter Thread on PoS
Source: Twitter
Vitalik published a tweet thread yesterday on Ethereum’s Casper research. He reviews the history of the tech, its conception, various solutions they’ve tried and implemented. He also describes some of the challenges that PoS has a difficult time solving, like defining “malicious activity” where multiple definitions may exists, and enforcing appropriate penalties. Read the 75-tweet thread in its entirety in the link above.
Forbes Misquotes Vitalik
Source: Twitter
A likely transcription error resulted in Vitalik being misquoted in a Forbes article. He is quoted in the article as specifically citing BCH, which Twitter user WhalePanda jumped on to claim it constituted promotion. In actuality, BCH was on a list of four different coins cited by Vitalik in the source video. Forbes has since fixed the error, but other sources are already running with the misquote.

Blockchain dispute resolution protocol Kleros has launched Doges on Trial, a token-curated registry of Doge memes offering a bounty for a user who can “break” their system by adding a cat into the mix. It’s essentially a gamified proof-of-concept of the technology they offer.
Zombie Battlegrounds Alpha
Source: Medium
The Zombie Battlegrounds alpha has been released to early backers of the project’s Kickstarter. According to Loom, the alpha is “fully playable,” and the source article linked above includes a video of the gameplay (warning: it’s loud). The open beta is expected to be released later this year, with approximately 23,000 people already signed up to receive notifications.
