As for the article itself, I can see that you have a very humorous nature and I'm sure you would be a lot of fun to hang around with.
There is a saying: Ignorance is bliss.
For many, this holds true. For those here on Steemit, I think we are a bit outside that realm. However, because of the way this system works, many are too busy writing their own posts to have time to read. Then there are those who hold a regular job, have a family, and must fit all the daily chores into the day along with spending time on Steemit. This leads to taking short-cuts (skimming instead of reading) or ignoring altogether if it takes too much effort to comprehend. Unfortunately, this is just the way it is.
I received some bad news yesterday. I had my regular eye examination and they took a picture of the back of my eyes and there are bumps forming on the part where the eye senses the light to form an image. This is bad news because it leads to blindness. I am getting new lenses with a blue filter in them to assist with blocking some of the blue light (which is supposed to be bad for you) and have been prescribed some heavy doses of vitamins that support eye health. However, too much computer screen time is the culprit, so I may need to cut back on the amount of time I spend reading off the computer.
As for your confusion... I am a slow reader and even slower at typing, so for me to read and respond to people takes 3 to 4 times longer than most others. I have a lot of posts show up in my feed every day and just scanning through them for interesting titles takes me a good half hour to an hour! Never mind reading those I choose to look at! What can I say; I'm just too slow!
Hello my dear @happyme. Excuse me for the long delay replying to your always welcome and appreciated comment. I've been having alot of undesirables issues with my internet connection lately. And i thought your well thought and elaborated comment deserved way more than a simple & vague response.
Having said that, now get ready for my wordy beating as usual. }:)
Firstly, very glad to know that I had been able to make you start your day with much laughter by reading this post. And yes, I swear. I am indeed a cool chap to whom would be alot of fun to hang around with. }:)
As for the second part of your comment. I understand and comprehend perfectly what you say and I agree with you completely. Unfortunately, it is a fact that there aren't more free birds, sedentary hobos and wise elder bums like me out there, with enough time in their hands willing to read more, interact more, learn more and being successfully able to catch up through our always slippery and overwhelming feed page all the time.
Regarding the bad news about your eyes. Do not worry dear, those bumps will disappear alone sooner than you think. I have known of similar cases before and as you say, with a good dose of the appropriate vitamins & stuff these bumps simply disappeared on their own after a short time. ;)
And as for the last paragraph in your comment, I will put jingle bells to my posts from now on to save you a good deal of time finding them quickly and once you've done it, you can be as slow as you want to read them.
Cheers and trust in your vitamins. I don't lose the hope you can see me clearly in full colors if some day we have the chance to hang out together for a good laugh in a close future. :)
