The brave browser
brave is an internet browser that blocks ads and trackers by default. It makes browsing faster and safer. Brave claims to save you several hours each year just because the browser loads pages faster than a normal browser.
Ads need to be downloaded just like the page. Because downloading on cellular costs money, brave saves you money by blocking all the ads.
Brave also has a feature that is currently in beta, it is named brave payments. Brave payments is a system that is used to pay publishers and advertisers if you choose to accept certain advertisements.
The brave browser is certainly worth it to try it out.
BAT or basic attention token
BAT is an ICO which is still in development. It is going to be implemented in the brave browser system. BAT is a blockchain-based digital advertising system. BAT is introduced because with current browsers, publishers are hurting, users are abused and advertisers are losing. With BAT, the attention is measured when a user views ads. Users are than rewarded with BATs for their attention. Publishers are rewarded for the amount of attention is given to an ad on their page. Advertisers pay for attention. The currency is which users, publishers and advertisers pay and get paid, is BAT.
I can't wait till the BAT token is implemented in the brave browser. Currently I am using the brave browser and enjoying the performance.
