How to mine Commercium (Equihash currency)

Commercium is a dual blockchain based on two different algorithm.

• First one is Equihash (CMM)
• Second one is Ethash (CMMX)

Having said this, let's get to the point.

1 - Get wallet

To mine Commercium, we must first install the wallet to stash our coins.
There is few types of wallet, web and desktop.

Desktop wallet

Download the wallet that corresponds with your OS on Commercium's wallet page

You will need your receiving address from this wallet, which you can find under the file menu at the top.

Web wallet

Official web wallet
Vidulum

Vidulum is a tier wallet service.
Advantages of this service are :

• Staking ifyou have some CMM
• Masternode hosting if you have the collateral

2 - Mining program

For Nvidia GPU's

I like to use the DSTM over EWBF or others:

Navigate down the post to find the latest version

Don't worry, it's safe to run, despite the virus warnings that will show up.

To use the miner you chose, you have to build a .bat file at root of the extracted folder but first, you have to choose a mining pool.

For AMD GPU's

As i know, the best one is Claymore's miner

3 - Mining pools

Here a list of different mining pools (percentage correspond to his power on network when i made the article)

Coin Blockers (Fee: 1%) - 31.61 KSol/s (10.78%)
VPool (Fee: 1%) - 137.54 KSol/s (46.91%)
Unknown Pool - 124.01 KSol/s (42.30%)

Personally, i'm using coinblockers because i discovered Commercium on their pool.

4 - Configure and mine !

For Nvidia GPU's

Now go over to your DSTM folder and edit your start.bat file so it looks like this:

setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
zm --server cmm-eu.coinblockers.com --user C**********.WorkerName --pass x --port 3040

you have to replace :

• C********** by your wallet address
• WorkerName by an identifier for your mining machine

Then simply double click your bat file to start mining.

For AMD GPU's

Edit the bat file to something like this

GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 1
GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

5 - Masternodes

Collateral : 100 000 CMM
