Joining the Blockchain Space

in #cryptocurrency7 years ago (edited)

Here is a little introduction about myself. I graduated from the University of British Columbia with an Integrated Science degree, integrating Neuroscience and Animal Biology. I tend to get obsessed with philosophy, political science, and human advancement. Currently, I am a nursing student that will hopefully graduate and become a registered nurse in mental health - a field that is highly undervalued just like cryptocurrency.

My journey into the Cryptoshpere began on December 23rd 2017 when I put $100 into Coinbase. For Christmas I told my dad as a joke that I wanted 0.01 BTC and ironically he got me 0.1 oz of Canadian gold, which is worth about the same price of 0.01 BTC.

Now that I have FINALLY understand blockchain technology and its applications, I cannot stop thinking about it - I have caught the brain virus that is cryptocurrency. My internal clock does not tune in with the sun no more, but the all mighty Bitcoin - it's 0515 here...

Here is a look at all the coins I have dipped my toes in:

I'm a nurse. I found nursing school to be more difficult than medical school (which I did for 2 years when I was young, before I had kids.) So good luck to you. My daughter is a nurse in a psychiatric hospital and it suits her well. I hope you find your niche.

Nursing school and nursing are brutal for the most part. You're expected to give so much physically and psychologically, yet go home and take care of a family at the same time. I chose nursing over medical school, because I wanted to stay in Canada and take fewer years of school - little did I know what I was signing up for...

I also chose nursing school because it was fewer years of school...Nursing school is shorter, but that's not a good thing, in a way! We are expected to know enough to write orders and catch medical mistakes, yet we are paid relatively little and have no power to implement the things we see that need to be done for the patients. I like what I do, but I think I deserve more money, for sure.
