Bitcoin is better than gold in regard to two thing. One bitcoin easily transferable and transportable compared to gold. Two bitcoin supply is fixed and predictable, why gold supply more unpredictable. Sudden discovery of huge gold mine will affect prices drastically, history has shown that. You can't have a surprise discovery with bitcoin.
And Three: Gold has a physical properties, which makes it controllable! Bitcoin can be short-term influenced, but can't be controlled. Good work, @geekgirl
