Project to watch out for : Quantstamp
There is a big problem with smart contracts and that is that they arent very secure and can be easily exploited. we have all heard stories about how hackers stole millions in eth from Dao just by exploiting a bug in its smart contract. On another occassion another hacker exploited the bug in Parity multi-sig wallet and stole millions of dollars worth of eth.
Most of the times the software developers who write the smart contracts arent security focused which can lead to making the whole smart contract vulnerable. You can hire a security company to audit the code but that is not practical with growing number of smart contracts.
There has to be an automatic scalable way to audit the smart contracts so they the compnaies and investors are rest assured that their investments are not vulnerable.
And this what exactly Quantstamp is. It is the first scalable security-audit protocol designed to find vulnerabilities in Ethereum smart contracts. Quanstamp is a protocol that solves the smart contract security problem by creating a scalable and cost-effective system to audit the smart contracts written by software devs on the ethereum network.
I wont bore you with all the details but it is a very interesting project and team is full of shiny stars. Above all they already have audited an upcoming ico (request network) which goes on to show that companies are already trusting Quantstamp with their security and Quanstamp already has a mechanism in place for auditing the smart contracts.
Quantstamp already has a around 2000 members in the telegram group without any marketting efforts. leaving below links to thier website, whitepaper github (which has quite a few repositories and commits).
