Deutsche Bank: the necessary level of regulation of crypto currency may appear by 2023
Head of the investment office of Deutsche Bank Markus Muller suggested that the "proper level of regulation" that would legitimize investment in crypto-currencies may appear within five to ten years.
In an interview for Bloomberg on Monday, January 29, Mueller warned against investing in the crypto currency. He believes that now only speculative investors can work in this field. At the same time, he urged the crypto-currency businesses to begin working closely with the regulators.
Once the proper level of security and trust is secured, the Crypto-currency can be assessed and at the same time valued as one of the asset classes.
Perhaps, the required level of regulation will appear in five to ten years.
Deutsche Bank has traditionally adhered to a skeptical view of the crypto-currencies and believes that all its ups and downs can not have a serious impact on the main financial markets.
At the same time, Deutsche Bank analyst Masao Muraki believes that the lack of volatility in traditional shares stimulated investor interest in more risky assets, such as bitcoin.
Now a growing number of institutional investors are watching the Crypto-currency as an indicator of the risk for assessing the stability of asset prices.
Germany still lags behind in its understanding of consumer-level crypto currency, which contrasts sharply with initiatives in other countries, such as neighboring Switzerland.
