Effect.AI partners with Quadrant Protocol to assist the Singapore Government.
We are excited to announce a brand new strategic partnership with Quadrant Protocol, experts in handling data and artificial intelligence. Effect.AI CEO Chris Dawe and Quadrant Protocol CEO Mike Davie have been in discussions about a high level partnership for several weeks and met up at the RISE conference in Hong Kong to formalize an agreement. Together, Effect.AI and Quadrant Protocol will assist the Government of Singapore by providing high-value location data and services.
About Quadrant Protocol and the partnership with the Government of Singapore
Singapore’s Info-communications Media Development Authority (IMDA) has asked Quadrant Protocol to accurately map and categorize a wide range of geographic entities. Quadrant is a blockchain-based protocol that enables the access, creation, and distribution of data products and services with authenticity and provenance at its core. Effect.AI’s distributed global workforce on demand, Effect Force, will provide the necessary human component for this project. We are thrilled to kick off what we hope to be a long and prosperous relationship with such an interesting and important project.
The nature of this Singapore project showcases not only the versatile and diverse use cases of Effect Force, but also the agility of our development team. They will spend the next few weeks rapidly developing and rolling out new features for Effect Force. These features will allow Effect Force workers to identify and categorize geographic details from satellite images. These new capabilities will allow us to deploy Effect Force in a wider range of contexts, making us an attractive partner for other governments and local authorities.
Enhancing data through Effect Force
In order to guarantee the most robust and useful data for this project, multiple types of information must be entered, enriched, and validated. These include mapping, polygon traces, point-of-interest (POI) labeling, and live location feeds. Quadrant Protocol will supply satellite images of Singapore to Effect.AI. We will then divide these images into smaller components, and task our Effect Force workers with applying qualitative markers to the images. For example, an image might contain an apartment building, a tennis court, and a small lake. Effect Force workers will identify each component, defining the precise GPS location and polygon trace of these elements.
Next, this information will be validated and verified by other workers on the Effect Force platform, ensuring through consensus that these geographic elements have been accurately specified. The data is then returned to Quadrant Protocol, where it will power the location data system. Ultimately, this will result in an increasingly rich database of location information for Singapore, enabling its government to better serve its residents and foster innovation.
Empowering innovation
This partnership between Quadrant Protocol and Effect.AI represents an incredibly exciting opportunity for both companies, and opens the possibility to embark on similar projects all around the world. This use case is more sophisticated and complex than past projects, thus broadening the scope of future work. In particular, it shows the willingness and flexibility of the Effect.AI team to take on and execute complex projects with ambitious and forward-thinking partners.
