Is there any hope for other coin to overtake bitcoin??

Bitcoin is the daddy of all coin presently.. It hit the market and always top when the market fall.
Is there any hope for other coin to overtake bitcoin?

Previously I and my colleagues were arguing on this, so I decided to bring the question here to the platform it could be solved easily.
Is there any hope for ethereum to overtake bitcoin????
