Although it is getting hard for me to keep track of my very diversified portfolio now, and it seems, as you said, that this platform is more similar to facebook, which is exactly what I don't want.

I have missed out on way too many financial opportunities in my life. I missed the the chance to buy Apple Stock because I thought that Windows was better. I didnt buy real estate because I thought that the price of the mortage was more than I wanted to spend, little did I know That home prices doubled and trippled. The worst one yet was not Buying Bitcoin in 2010 because it was too hard to configure the wallet and it seemed "shady". Thanks for the comment

I think we are twins. I know I have said the exact same thing to friends recently. I think we did ok on this one. I'm not sure about Sphere but it sounds similar to what we are going to do with https://SteemThat.com and Steemish Tokens when Smart Media Tokens Become Available. Steemish Tokens will probably be launched as an ICO in this fashion to raise capital. To continue development in the way we need to will take significant capital infusions.
