Crypto advice for a noob.steemCreated with Sketch.

A very good evening to all of you! Who's ready for the weekend?!

While I was browsing Bittrex today, I saw blood everywhere. Which really isn't a bad thing I suppose, there's plenty of opportunity to buy low today and sell higher tomorrow. I have been trading SBD and distributing it throughout different altcoins.

Currently I am holding Siacoin, Digibyte, Numeraire, Steem, Bitshares, and dare I say...Dogecoin. I have recently looked into Antshares and Ripple, but I haven't played around with them too much. While these may not necessarily "moon" anytime soon, I am comfortable holding them for a bit. So, tell me...

What's YOUR favorite altcoin?

Let me know in the comments! While this may seem elementary to seasoned experts, everyone has to start somewhere. I choose here. I am open to any advice, articles, or criticism to help me better learn. Thanks!

Great post my Love!♥😍😘

Thank you dear! :)

You're welcome, my love!♥♥😍😘♥

Thanks for the post on what you are holding etc. Can you go into your thought process? I appreciate its good to diversify but why did you decide on that number of alts and why those specific ones?
Also, is your portfolio split evenly across those coins or do you hold a core of Bitcoin/ Ethereum etc and a smaller amount in these more speculative alts? Many thanks

LTC :D

Hey there, it all depends on how much of a noob you really are, and what you want to learn... I see you've been around for a while on steemit, so not sure the term noob even applies to you.
However if you really feel like a noob I just made this article yesterday about 3 YouTube channels that in my opinion are the best for learning about cryptocurrency.
If you have only time for 1 channel, I would recommend @invanli and his videos. Even from a pure traders perspective, cryptos have a very strong technical basis and you definitely will need to learn the essentials.
@ivanli 's videos are the absolute best at explaining those aspects.

Excellent response, @anomiej! I will look into those channels.

Gridcoin, because it is POS+POW and POW is not just useless hashing but useful scientific computing. You can help finding cancer treatments, searching for aliens and many more and earn money at the same time.

That is actually really cool. Thanks for the tip

AWESOME! I will look into this!

Probably ETC but I have been beaten hard by IOT these past 3 weeks. I believe more coins is being pumped into the system. The price will eventually go up, I can wait.

@drobinson thanks for this. I am looking at steem and Bitshares as a buy and hold and you?

I too am holding Bitshares.

Good hold isnt it? thanks

Thank you so much @drobinson! This is so helpful and I know it's going to be great for so many steemians starting out. 😁

Favourite alt? ETH.

ETH all the way. Personally I won't touch coins that cannot be mined.

I do have a small amount of ETH I bought today.

May I ask why?

A colleague at work urgently needed cash yesterday. So I bought 2 ETH off him. Luckily (for me) the price had hit a new low just then. Win–win for me and my friend!

Very nice!!
