Protect Yourself

I just listened to a program which warned about governmental control over cyberspace. The control of cyberspace could possibly establish an encapsulation of all crypto systems.

Please take a moment to consider the reality of governmental control of cyberspace.

Which government? The report claimed that China was the established leader.

Strategy Summary:

1. Control communication
2. Allow confidence in fiat based systems to fail
3. Encourage global participation in digital systems like bitcoin and other block chain systems
4. Manage and control these systems through the control of digital communications
5. Control the world by restricting or allowing data flow

Much of this strategy is beyond my ability to understand. The above strategy is my mostly flawed understanding of reality.

I know there is a lot I don't know!

I do know that balance is important. If the use of crypto currency becomes the standard in the future and that use is somehow managed or taxed by any governmen, the best balance to that risk is holding physical gold or silver.

It is a mistake to bet on a single horse in this race. Digital value has risks. Physical metal has risks. Time will tell which is the better strategy.

I currently takes about 75 ounces of silver to buy 1 ounce of gold. The historic ratio is about 15 to 1. The mining (out of the ground) ratio is about 10 to 1. Hence I see Silver as the better balancing choice. Remember, I am speaking of holding physical metal. Paper silver is subject to digital communications risks.

I use physical silver to balance myself. I use Steemit to grow my crypto currency holdings.

I am a very small fish. For bigger fish, gold may be a better choice just because it requires less space to store.

The point is... know the risks and protect yourself from the unknown future.!
