- Shadows
The thin lines above and below the real body are called the shadows. The shadows indicate the price extremes of a session.
The line above the real body is called the upper shadow and the line below the real body is called the lower shadow.
The upper shadow's topmost point indicates the high (price) of the session and the lower shadow's bottom most point indicates the low (price) of the session.
