My personal experience and take in cryptocurrency

in #cryptocurrency7 years ago (edited)

I started in cryptocurrency because of two reasons:

  1. the technology and application (blockchain and how amazing it is)
  2. the value of these cryptoassets provide (which could seen in the value of each coin/token)

I have been fortunate to start and invest after much researching and hearing the hype by multiple colleagues and the news of Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin. The irony was I got into coin mining more and more to see how it all works from beginning to end...

I know I won't write much but I hope in the coming days and weeks, I could share the great things and the bad sides... I want to be address in context that includes the political arena, the supporters, and those who explicitly state that they do not believe in it...

Also, I like to start with the finer things like PoW (proof of works), PoS (proof of stake), and all the things out there that make each cryptocurrency very unique and different..

My recommendations to visit as I follow them:
https://steemit.com/@cryptokristof (I like his candid statement and his DTube and SteemIt really will help you grow your portfolio)
https://steemit.com/@cryptocoinnewz (I like his many videos though at times, it feels like more of hype, speculation, and marketing.. I believe he is very honest but it is all based on projection and past history)
https://steemit.com/@cryptovestor (I like him because he provides a holistic view and why he would invest or not based on the coin/token's info).
https://steemit.com/@davidhay (I listen to him when I started cryptocurrency - especially BitConnect but a bit late.. He is another one that I listen to his insights)

I believe they are two great investors in cryptocurrency.. I listen and read their youtubes (hoping they go to SteemIt).. Hoping people see how much they do their works... Great way to grow in cryptocurrencies

He adds a great twist of humor with great insight with cryptonews...
Doug Polk Crypto: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC4sS8q8E5ayyghbhiPon4uw

I like him a lot because he provides with the whole market (commodities, stock, cryptocurrencies)

You could see I do a lot of reading and research with context when I make purchases..

Books I recommend reading when investing:
Cryptoassets The Innovative Investor's Guide to Bitcoin and Beyond - Chris Burniske and Jack Tatar
The Intelligent Investor - Benjamin Graham
