Cryptocurrency

I have been in the cryptocurrency scene for several months now. I think that I understand which currencies can be the best investment of 2018 and other currencies to keep an eye on which may later become more worthy. Currently, my cryptocurrency portfolio is rather small with an accumulation of around £300 ($426.18) at the date of 24th January 2018, keeping in mind that I have invested around £200 ($284.12).

As many of you may be aware that 2017 was quite an unexpected year and many made quite an investment from it. We've all been there, the hindsight; making us wish that we had just invested the day Bitcoin was released. Even a simple £100 would make us thousands and even millions soon to come.

The word "Bitcoin" is heavily used referring to all currencies in the cryptomarket mostly due to the sheer difference of market cap in comparison to the largest currencies such as Ethereum (ETH), Ripple (XRP) and Bitcoin cash (BCH) to name a few. With Bitcoin almost reaching a staggering $200 billion market cap and the whole cryptomarket of around $550 Billion (at the date of 24th January 2018), it truly promises that these will be the currencies of the future, this is surely inevitable.

Bitcoin (BTC) is probably the most stable of the currencies due to the sheer popularity and thousands if not millions of transactions made every minute. With an incredible increase in value from reaching around $900 per BTC at the date of late January 2017 and reaching an astonishing $20,000 on 17th December 2017. Due to the stability of Bitcoin (BTC), it is most likely to be the safest investment on the cryptomarket.

But as many of you may know, Altcoins can make you a far greater investment than Bitcoin by exploiting their instability. I highly recommend that conducting research before investing whether its just a few hundred Great British Pounds, Dollars or Euros it'll make your investment that much more. Keeping an eye out for new projects which will ultimately boost the value of their coin. Some examples of this are the SALT Lending Platform. Being valued at $2.00 a coin, it was seen as a new coin and won't gain much value but they announced their Lending Platform would start in December 2017. By New Year of 2018, SALT was now worth between $10.00 - $14.00. This simple investment would net you loads (dependant on how much you invested) in just a few number of weeks is quite remarkable!

1. EOS, many will assume there will be little future for this coin. Currently being valued at around $13.00 it was worth no more than a single $1.00 in the period of November 2017. This huge rise suggesting that this new platform, known as one of the leading one of the most powerful infrastructures for decentralised applications. My predictions are that EOS will be worth between $80 - $100 at the end of 2018.

2. Litecoin, known as the currency of the future and Bitcoin being the gold. Litecoin is currently worth $180 but expected to reach a quarter the value of Bitcoin. This investment can be huge for all who invest at the right time. Forums exploding on the internet of how Litecoin is too underpriced and will soon serge to the top 5 cryptocurrencies. My predictions are that Litecoin will be worth between $900 - $1200 at the end of 2018.

3. Ethereum was known as the second strongest cryptocurrency and with a market cap valued at a total of $105 billion it's easy to say it won't be crashing anytime soon. Recently Ethereum has seen large increases and keeping the value showing it will have a constant growth through the year of 2018. My predictions are that Ethereum will be worth between $1500 - $1800 at the end of 2018.

4. Ethereum Classic, currently valued at around $30. Ethereum Classic has been stuck at a similar value for many months and is therefore expected to see a large increase in value, potentially doubling investments. Indeed this investment is incredibly risky due to the uncertainty of this coin and stalemate past, it is still expected to increase in value and can become a great investment. My predictions are that Ethereum Classic will be worth between $50 - $80 at the end of 2018.

Having a small cryptocurrency portfolio might be deceiving but I've already made profits and received capital.
