Power Ledger POWR token: community peptalk

Well friends, with Power Ledger’s token generation event now in its frantic final days, it’s time to start thinking about what to do after your final scramble to get in on the main sale and take advantage of an attractive entry price.

The train is about to pull out of the station so if you haven't got on yet, I reckon it's time to (at least start) getting aboard!

Here are 2 things to remember once the ride starts:

1 Buckle up. It’s completely normal for ICOs, especially uncapped ones, to lose value once they hit the exchanges. (sometimes the ICO sucks up most of the demand; there can be a bit of a post-ICO deflation of hype).

But the FOMO is strong with this one. I’m not putting too many eggs in a basket which assumes the price will fall in a few weeks! It will be a few weeks before POWR is traded on exchanges – an epoch in the cryptoverse. If Musk makes an announcement after the crowd sale, if PL maintains their announcement momentum, the demand will be there when the token hits exchanges.

The sale structure is also encouraging people to keep quiet about their investments. That changes once the sale is over; there really may not be another opportunity at this price.

If the price does drop, see it as exactly that – another buying opportunity. Remember you saw value in the project at the proposed valuations (e.g. $30 million market cap in the presale) and if it falls to a lower valuation there is an opportunity for new money to go in with a higher multiplier.

Income averaging is a good strategy for volatile crypto markets, not least for your mental health. It’s just too stressful and obsessive to try and time the market. Invest regular amounts over time, and you end up buying more tokens at the lower price.

2 . Keep sharing, spreading the word, and following the progress. Guys, the work doesn’t stop because the ICO is over – as community members, our role is just beginning.

Keep up your posts, stay connected to the discussion. This helps demonstrate we have a large (and growing) community of active, interested supporters/investors/likely users.

It’s also just good to help keep the Power Ledger brand visible on forums, blogs, and YouTube. This helps ensure future announcements have maximum impact.

Q3 2018 has been earmarked for the first asset germination events. Try and participate! These mini-ICOs are going to garner a lot of media attention in this very politicised space FOR SURE. This is probably the most exciting part of the short term road map and I am really excited to see them start! I mean, how cool will it be to source your energy from your own part-owned solar farm?!?

In time I hope to hear of Power Ledger meetups happening around the world. Who knows, your local PL chapter might be able to lead a future asset germination event, or establish your own peer-to-peer energy cooperative.

We can’t imagine all of the applications built on the PL platform yet – but as the ICO closes over the next couple of days, I’m really looking forward to reading your blogs, articles and ideas on what might happen next. It's a thrilling time to be democratising energy!
