The American fast-food franchise, Burger King has began accepting cryptocurrencies as a method of payment for their online delivery service.

It mas be noted though that this is only available in Germany and it is still unclear if Burger King will start accepting Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies on its 600+ fast-food chains across Germany.

Burger King has always been cryptocurrency-friendly albeit it has not fully embraced the new asset class as a means of payment it has delved into the industry in the past.

Back in 2017 Burger King Russia announced that it started accepting Bitcoin payments and then proceeded to introduce their own virtual currency called whoppercoin.

Burger King was founded in 1954 and is currently headquartered in Florida and now has over 13,000 locations around the world and serves about 11 million customers a day.
